Chapter 3 college writing planning Eng 82


When you begin to write college papers, you have to do a number of different things. The first thing is to be able to back up all that you write with evidence and claims, also what you write maybe challenged so its crucial what you put down on paper, because you must be able to have references and proof for all that you say. Even when putting down your opinion, five examples why you feel that way or support it with some other facts.
Another thing that is very important is to be able keep the reader’s interest and attention with what you have to write. An additional thing is to be weary of rambling on or going into a narration so it is important to stay on point and be clear and concise on what the assignment is asking for.



Chapter 4 college writing Drafting


One of the most crucial steps when drafting is to make sure you clearly understand what the assignment is asking for before starting any thing else. Once you have a clear
Understanding of what is you are writing about you can then begin to gather information if you are gathering information from an article of book you may want to highlight everything that seems of importance, then go back and skim all that you have highlighted, and from there pull out all your main concepts and ideas, review them challenge them. Another thing is to be able to organize you paper, for example when would you want each topic to show up in your paper beginning middle of end, what do you want your main point to be and so fourth. There are many different ways of drafting a papers, another method known as the fast draft, this is where an individual will just write all there thoughts down on paper without stopping and once they have completed that, they will pull out thoughts and ideas from there drafts that they would like to incorporate into their final copy. Another thing that is also important is to find the tone of your paper, for example is your papers going to have found your tone make sure to try to stay consistent through out the paper.


Chapter 5 Revising


Once your paper is completed, look over it make sure that your introduction and conclusion tie in together. Check all you main points in each of your paragraph make sure they also have a clear introduction and conclusion so your readers are aware of when a new point begins and ends, organize your paper in such a manner that everything flows together and has relevant to each topic. All your claims made throughout the paper.
